Inactivated Oily Vaccine for Pigeons Against Herpes Virus  and Paramyxovirus  Infections

Content per Dose:

• Inactivated Paramyxovirus Type I (Strain La Sota): min. 7 log2 HI*
• Inactivated Herpes Virus of Pigeons (Strain V298/70): min. 1 log2 VN**

*HI: Haemagglutination Inhibition antibodies in serum of vaccinated chickens
**VN: Specific Neutralization antibodies in serum of vaccinated chickens

Target Species:
Pigeons

Indication:
Active immunization of pigeons against Paramyxovirus and Herpes virus infections.

Contraindications:
Do not administer to animals that are sick or suspected of having any disease.

Dosage and Administration:
0.3 ml subcutaneously or intramuscularly.

Recommended Vaccination Schedule:

• Young Pigeons:

  • First Dose: At 5 weeks of age
  • Revaccination: After 3-4 weeks

• Adult Pigeons:

  • Latest Administration: 14 days before the exhibition period
  • Revaccination: Once a year
  • For breeding pigeons in poor epizootological conditions: Twice a year

Onset of Immunity:
10-14 days after the first injection
Duration of Immunity: 1 year

Undesirable Effects:
None reported.

Withdrawal Period:
None required.

Package Size:
Available in vials of 15 ml (50 doses) and 30 ml (100 doses).

Stability:
24 months

Storage Conditions:
Store between +2 to +8 °C in a dark, dry place. Protect from frost.
