RP Vaccine - PPMV1 and Salgen Salmonella Pack

Emulsion for injection for pigeons

Active Substances:
• Inactivated Pigeon Rotavirus (Ro/D strain)
• Inactivated PPMV1 (strain 988M)

Indications:
For pigeons from 4 weeks of age to:
• Reduce clinical signs, lesions, and spread caused by Rotavirus (G18P|17)
• Reduce mortality and symptoms caused by PMV1

Immunity:
• Begins 2 weeks after basic vaccination schedule
• Duration: 8 months (Rotavirus) / 9 months (PMV1)
• Field studies show protection up to 12 months

Administration:
• Dose: 0.3 ml IM (breast muscle)
• Needle at acute angle, not perpendicular
• Shake well, allow to reach room temperature
• Use sterile syringes and graded dosing

Storage:
2–8°C, do not freeze, protect from light
• Shelf life after opening: 8 hours

Safety Notes:
• Vaccinate only healthy birds
• Zero-day withdrawal
• Mineral oil content — accidental self-injection requires immediate medical attention
• Do not mix with other veterinary medicinal products


SALGEN SALMONELLA VACCINE

Paratyphoid / Salmonella Vaccine for Pigeons

Purpose:
• To prevent and control Salmonella (Paratyphoid), regarded as Enemy Number 1 in racing pigeons
• Protects against disease spread, secondary infections, joint symptoms, infertility, twisted necks, blindness, and high mortality

Vaccination Recommendations:
• All old birds vaccinated yearly
• Young birds also vaccinated
Booster strongly recommended
• Helps establish loft herd immunity

Effectiveness:
• Diagnostic studies since 2016 show 80%+ excellent antibody levels
• Proven reduction in outbreaks and disease progression

Disease Notes:
Paratyphoid spreads rapidly in lofts, causing weight loss, green droppings, lameness, wing/leg swelling, and death.

Control Measures:
• Quarantine affected birds
• Disinfect or burn out lofts
• Veterinary treatment may include approved antimicrobials as advised
