Composition

  • Inactivated Newcastle Disease Virus: Strain La Sota. Each 0.2 ml dose induces a GMT-HI titre of at least 27.0 in chicks.

Uses

Provides active immunisation for pigeons, preventing mortality and clinical symptoms caused by Paramyxovirus Type 1 infection.

Dosage and Administration

  • Single dose: 0.2 ml per pigeon.

Primary Vaccination

  • Racing pigeons: Vaccinate all birds in the loft annually, at least 14 days before the racing season begins. Young birds can be vaccinated from 3 weeks of age. Immunity lasts for 1 year.
  • Show pigeons: Vaccinate all birds annually, at least 14 days before the show season starts. Young birds can be vaccinated from 3 weeks of age.

Booster Vaccination

  • Administer an annual booster dose for both racing and show pigeons.
  • Timing may be adjusted to avoid interference with racing or show schedules.

Contraindications and Warnings

  • For animal treatment only.
  • Do not vaccinate:
    • Sick pigeons.
    • Birds within 2 weeks prior to mating.
    • Birds in lay or within 4 weeks of the laying period.
  • Safe for breeding birds if vaccinated before the breeding period.
