Herpesvirus 1 (PHV1)- Adenovirus type 8 -Paramyxovirus type 1- Pigeons

Product Description: Pharmavac PHA

Overview: Pharmavac PHA is an injectable emulsion designed for the vaccination of pigeons.

Composition: Each 0.3 ml dose contains:

• Active Substances:
• Inactivated Pigeon Paramyxovirus type 1 (PPMV1), strain 988M: ≥ 6.9 log2 HI*
• Inactivated Pigeon Herpesvirus 1 (PHV1), V298/70: ≥ 38.1 EU**
• Inactivated Fowl Adenovirus type 8 (FAdV-8), strain M2/E: ≥ 24.7 EU**

Indications: Pharmavac PHA is indicated for the active immunization of pigeons from 4 weeks of age to:

• Reduce mortality and the incidence and severity of clinical signs caused by paramyxovirus type 1 (PMV1).
• Alleviate the severity of clinical signs, lesions, and virus shedding associated with pigeon herpesvirus (PHV1).
• Diminish the severity of clinical signs and lesions caused by adenovirus types 7/E, 2/D, 3/D, and 4/C, belonging to subgroup I.

Immunity:

• Onset of Immunity: 3 weeks post-vaccination.
• Duration of Immunity:
• PMV1: 12 months
• PHV1 and AdV: 5 months (demonstrated via cell-mediated immunity and serological data).

Dosage and Administration:

• Dosage: 0.3 ml administered subcutaneously in the dorsal neck region towards the tail.
• Administration Instructions:
• Shake well before and during administration.
• Allow the vaccine to reach room temperature prior to use.
• Administer under standard aseptic conditions using sterile syringes and needles.
• Use appropriately graduated syringes to ensure the accurate 0.3 ml dose.

Vaccination Schedule:

• Primo vaccination: 1 dose from 4 weeks of age.
• Revaccination: Every 12 months for PMV1 and every 5 months in breeding contexts where PHV1 and AdV are present.

Storage Conditions:

• Store in a refrigerator (2 °C – 8 °C).
• Protect from frost and light.
